NEWS & EVENTS

Independance Day was celebrated in Women's Training Institute on August 12, 2011 along with The International Youth Day of YWCA of Delhi. Dance, Song and Skit Competitions were held in WTI. The judges for the day were Ms Suchita Kapoor, Ms Preeti Jha, Mrs Shikha Rebecca John.

The winners for the competition were:

Dance Competition:
  -   1st prize- B.Sc. (FT) (1st Sem)
  -   2nd prize- Diploma (FT) (1B)
  -   3rd prize- B.Sc. (Hindi)

Singing Competition: B.Sc. (FT) (1st Sem)

Skit Competition: Diploma (FT) (1st A)

Self Defence Training

Self Defence Training started on August 23, 2011 & was held for 10working days by Delhi Police Women Cell in WTI's premises for the students of WTI to impart them with the technique to protect themselves against any unwanted situation.

Teachers’ Day Celebration

Teachers’ day was celebrated on 5^th September, 2011 in Constantia Hall. WTI students showcased their talents through dance performances.

Debate Competition

Interdepartmental debate competition was held in Constantia hall on 17^th October. The Theme of the competition was “Anna Hazare is justified in using Gandhi’s principles for propagating his own views.” The judges for the day were Ms. Deepa, Ms. Kumud and Ms. Jennifer. The winners for the competition were:

·         Best Debater (For the motion) - Ms. Shikha Seth(FT)

·         Best Debater (Against the motion) – Ms. Ritancia Judy Cardoz (SP)

·         Best Team Performance – Ms Abhilasha Bhandari & Ms. Ritancia Judy Cardoz  (Secretarial Practice / Office Management Department)

·         Best Interjector – Ms. Gurkiran Khera(FT)

CONVOCATION

Convocation ceremony was held on 5^th November, 2011 in Constantia Hall where WTI students received their diplomas.

CHILDREN’S DAY

Children’s day was celebrated on 14^th November, 2011 where WTI Staff members performed for the students.

Chrysanthemum show/ flower show was held on 3^rd December, 2011.
