ADMISSION OPEN: WORKING WOMEN’S HOSTEL’ FOR WOMAN FROM NORTH - EASTERN STATES OF INDIA , ADMISSION OPEN FOR SHORT TERMS COURSES

Rural Development Project is reaching out to various sections of society in the Najafgarh block of Delhi, with the aim of bringing about a social change.
The main focus of our work has always been women and children who are marginalized.
RDP recognizes the discrimination of the girl children and women in the area of:

1. Education
2. Health
3. Employment
4. Decision making
5. Social System
To implement this ideology intoaction, the activities conducted are:

Training Programmes

For developing entrepreneurial skills for girls , the family service centre runs the following vocational courses -:

1. One year diploma course in Cutting and Tailoring
2. One year diploma course in Dress Designing
3. Short term courses in Knitting and Embroidery
4. A non-formal group for learning cutting and tailoring for six months

Social-Economic Programme
1. Reed Handicraft Production
2. Readymade garments unit
3. Knitting garments unit

Village Outreach Programmes
In the Village Centres
1. Pre-School education is given in the Balwadi for the children in the age-group of three to six years
2. A non-formal cutting and tailoring group of teenage girls and young women
3. A group of adolescent girls and boys called as Kanyadal and I Baldal
4.Mahila Mandal:Women meet together at the Week-Meetings and get together to discuss issues mainly related to development, children, nutrition education etc.
